Charles Taze Russell was born in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, in the United States, in 1852, the son of a Presbyterian marriage. A few years, he became the Congregational church. From the beginning, with only 11 years he started a business with his father menswear, coming to own several shops. Years later, in a moment of crisis in his Christian faith, he made contact with the Church of the Advent of Christ.
